Sailing Yacht

A gorgeous shot of a gorgeous sloop in a gorgeous setting. There is much going on in this ostensibly simple image, but my eye is particularly drawn to the refection of the sloop and sky in the water. The high-contrast transforms a simple reflection into something really beautiful. The composition is excellent, particularly with the perfect amount of space both above and below the mast in the sky and the water. If I have anything to suggest, I would suggest that perhaps a different crop would better accentuate one portion of the print over another to give a stronger more powerful single-message image; e.g. a crop balanced just above the mainsail on the rigging of the sailboat but below the far shoreline would accentuate the reflection of the sky and standing rigging which would, I think, lead to a stronger graphic composition. Cropping the water, would of course emphasize the sky, but in my opinion, that would cause it to be "just another pretty sailboat" kind of image. This is a really well done image, both compositionally and well executed technically. Well done.
